Besides the basic accessories you need for every dog, there might be others that are necessary or highly recommended if you own a Siberian Husky.

Sports equipment
Don’t let the goofy videos from the internet fool you. Siberian Huskies might look cute and funny, but they are a really high energy working breed. To burn all their energy, you will need more than the regular walks every once in a while.
The best way to burn their energy is to go out for a run/cycling with them. To prevent injuries make sure you own the right gear for sports activities.

Canicross equipment:
- Pulling harness. X-Back or H-Back harness.
- Bungee lead. This is just as important as the type of the harness because you could easily injure your dog’s spine if you are using a static cord.
- Belt. There are different types of belt, but I’d recommend the one with the sit-in option so it won’t go around your body if your dogs turn.
- Boots (optional). If the ground could damage their paws, it’s highly recommended to use boots.
- Quick release solution. For competitions, it’s a must-have thing, but it’s still recommended in everyday use in case of an emergency.

Bikejöring/dog-scooter equipment:
- Pulling harness. The same X or H back harness works perfectly.
- Bungee lead
- Bike antenna. To prevent the
lead getting stuck into the wheels. - Boots (optional). If the ground could damage their paws, it’s highly recommended to use boots.
- Quick release solution. For competitions, it’s a must-have thing, but it’s still recommended in everyday use in case of an emergency.
